I understand adjustments can be made in Windows XP, though some features might have been taken out in Windows 7 (possibly). It seems the option would be available in the control panel.

You cannot raise the DPI setting on your mouse. The best option is to upgrade it or adjust its sensitivity. Overclocking isn’t recommended and may void warranties. Purchasing a new mouse is another solution if needed. Changing the polling rate is possible after overclocking.
