The name seems simple but has hidden details. I use two screens: an LG 27GN65R as the main display and a LG 29UM68-P as a secondary one. The power button on the 29UM68-P stopped working completely, so I kept it active. Recently I replaced the 27GN65R with one that supports HDR and switched from my old DisplayPort cable to the HDMI included with it to test. Because the 29UM68-P was relying on its single HDMI port on the GPU, I attempted to change its input using software (ControlMyMonitor). The "Input Source" didn’t show any options like in tutorials, so I followed a forum tip and set it to 0–32. I chose 18, which is the highest setting. Now the monitor powers on, Windows recognizes it, but nothing appears. It briefly shows "HDMI 1" when starting, yet no signal appears even with that option active. Could you help me figure out a solution or if I should take it to a repair shop?

Hey there! Have you considered connecting the HDMI and removing the DP? Many displays will recognize input automatically. A power reset might be necessary for it to function properly.
Thanks, I tried a few times but the monitor doesn't automatically switch. It shows that the a cable is connected, whether its HDMI 1/2 or displayport , then says press ok to automatically switch. I have no button to press though.
Sad news. You might attempt a DP to HDMI adapter or fix the button with a soldering iron if needed. Alternatively, using a standard DP cable would suffice.
