I manage a modest giveaway via Sweepwidget. Most submissions happen online, but participants can submit in person on the event day. I’ll need to input each in-person entry individually. Unfortunately, the software doesn’t provide an option to add entries manually beyond basic methods. I tried manually entering each submission, but after the first one I received a spam filter warning. It seems the system flags entries based on IP address, as I had to switch VPN servers for each person. This works temporarily, but it’s inconvenient since I expect a high turnout and switching VPNs is time-consuming. I’m wondering if there’s a simpler way to quickly change my external IP to avoid the filter. I’ve reached out to Sweepwidget for a temporary workaround or manual entry option, but haven’t received a response yet. If I can’t resolve this, I’ve found a workaround using Excel’s RAND function to randomly select names and manually enter them into a spreadsheet, though it’s not ideal. Right now, my giveaway is progressing, so I can’t switch platforms soon. I realize I probably should have considered this earlier, but it never occurred to me it might become an issue.

I can't believe this, but I just discovered the way to turn off the IP-based spam filter. Thanks for anyone who replied, but I don't need a reply to this issue anymore. Feel free to remove this topic from mods.

Consider other possible solutions in case similar problems arise later. It's better to keep this than remove it. Thanks!

I resolved the issue quickly. The "Edit" section in your giveaway settings within the SweepWidget dashboard includes a checkbox labeled "Block duplicate IP addresses from entering." It's positioned under Language and Google Captcha. Disabling this option should work. I was surprised I missed it during initial troubleshooting, but now I see the fix.

The provided solution has been shared previously. Reach out to the giveaway organizer or the company they are working with. Avoid bringing back old discussions to take over. Your concern is distinct from OPs—create a new thread instead.
