Hey everyone, I tried Skyrim Special Edition and got stuck in the add-ons section. It felt frustrating at first, but I just pressed Alt-F4 to exit. Now whenever I move my mouse, I can hear the cursor navigating through menu options. Since I stopped playing, I’ve restarted Windows twice and even reset it hard. The task manager shows nothing, and the volume mixer is empty. What should I do? Also, after uninstalling Skyrim, it still showed up. It turns out a mouse cable rubbing against a heat sink made the sound similar to the game menu...

It runs whether your PC is off or inside the BIOS. It operates during Windows as well.

It really did! I thought I was doing something clever by placing an old CPU heat sink on my table, only to notice my mouse cord moving across it. The noise sounded almost identical to the menu sounds I heard back then, especially since the cord was dragging too. Guess I’m just being a bit silly.
