Hello, I'm using a Huawei b310 from my service provider for internet. I need to restrict how much others can access the same connection. I'm willing to try external tools but not any additional hardware. Thanks!

You can restrict their usage by stopping after excessive use or by capping their maximum speed.

It varies by brand and model. Some routers offer device prioritization options, while others handle bandwidth allocation differently.

Typically consumer routers don't handle this, but more sophisticated devices like pfSense can.

I'm not remembering it off the top of my head, but isn't there a program that Tech Youtubers have advertised that can do this (I think Linus has done an ad for it, but I can't remember)?

Maybe Glasswire could work.

It was glasswire, though I suspect it might have been settled (perhaps there was a trial involved).

However, this approach is client-focused, allowing them to adjust it as needed.
