I viewed this tutorial while upgrading my computer and chose the Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3600 RAM. I wanted to know how to reach 3600 MHz with it. Since I’m comfortable overclocking CPUs but haven’t adjusted RAM speeds before, I’m curious about BIOS settings. It’s currently stuck at 2666 MHz.
On Ryzen it's typically referred to as DOCP, with some MSI models labeled as XMP. Turn it on and it will automatically adjust your RAM to its specified rate.
Consider replacing the existing RAM with a faster option. A 3600mhz CL16 is a reasonable upgrade if you're okay swapping it out. The 3600mhz CL18 offers minimal improvement over the 3200mhz CL16. Just enable XMP in the BIOS and adjust the DDR4 voltage to 1.4V if possible.
