Adjust settings for optimal performance on Ultra with high FPS.
Hello everyone, I purchased an MSI Trident gaming PC. It works smoothly with BF1 on Ultra, but sometimes FPS drops during intense moments like bomb drops. Here are the details:
Operating System: Windows 10 Home 64-bit
CPU: Intel Core i7 7700 @ 3.60GHz
Chipset: Kaby Lake 14nm
RAM: 8GB single-channel, 1197MHz
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 (3GB)
Storage: 238GB Intel SSDPEKKW256G7
Optical Drives: No disks detected
Audio: Realtek High Definition Audio
Thanks in advance for your help.
Perfect, just need a single stick in single channel. Try adjusting the Postproces setting first.
The game runs smoothly on Ultra, yet the light orange symbol appears, indicating frame rates dropped temporarily for about two seconds.
You notice the screen cracking but disappears with V-Sync enabled. Decide whether you need a 75 Hz or 120 Hz monitor.
Consider adding more RAM for an improvement, but for a major speed increase, wait for the 1070 series to drop in cost and install one of the compact iX models (Gigabyte and MSI offer solid options). You might be running low on GPU memory.
It's tough on this 3GB 1060 trying to handle one of the toughest titles for its era. The 6GB model only lasts about 60 minutes in BF1.
