I secured a solid offer on a used 4x4 GB Crucial balistix 3000 MHz CL15-16-16-40 1.35V, expecting Micron E die but found it was an older Samsung variant. Despite this, the chip performed exceptionally well, reaching 3733 MHz at 15-18-18-38 V. I'm frustrated because I can't push beyond that. I've experimented with higher voltages (up to 1.8V), adjusted timings (21-24-24-50) and tried dual-channel setups, but the ceiling remains the same. The issue seems to be whether I reached the maximum overclock potential of my board or if secondary/tertiary timings and memory controller voltages were limiting performance. Would it be worth investing in this? Any tips or tricks for boosting this IC's speed? Here are some details: Z490 ASUS TUF Gaming, Intel Core i5 10400F, Crucial Tactical DDR4 3000MHz, CL15 Corsair CX 600.
