Adjust memory directly vs configure DOCP then change settings
The package lists a 3600mhz CL17 model, which is budget-friendly Adata XPG hardware. I purchased it hoping it would outperform my older 3200 MHz CL14 at CL14, but this XPG kit only supports CL14 at 1.45v and causes crashes in games and Windows when loading with 1T. Stability is only achieved without any errors at 3600mhz CL15 2T. I prefer not to use 1.5v because there’s no clear consensus online about its safety for regular use.
This decrease in bclk during a docp profile might be the reason you can run 1T but fail to start when not in docp, even with identical settings. It seems the voltage handling changes depending on the environment.
Looking for a mini adjustment in BCLK? Spread Spectrum might help. Do you have a specific motherboard in mind?
