Hey everyone, I'm looking for the optimal configuration for GTA V. I own a high-end setup with two XT 980TI graphics cards that are clocked and SLI'd. I want to know the highest possible settings—like MSAA at 8x or 4X with NVIDIA TXAA enabled. Do you have any idea what the best options are? I've already filled all the advanced sliders to their limits. Any tips would be super helpful!

I believe you can reach the highest configurations. With just a single GTX 980 Ti, it's feasible to run at full settings and achieve around 60 frames per second using MSAA 4X.

Crank every adjustment to its fullest setting. This provides ample GPU capacity to handle 1440p at over 60 frames per second.

I've reached the limits, and I'm curious about the optimal configurations. Using MSAA at 8x might require turning off TXAA or switching to 4X with TXAA. I just want to understand the best settings possible.

Typically it becomes clear, but when you're presented with options such as 4x msaa versus txaa or just 8x msaa, you decide based on which looks better—functionally superior settings—or which puts more strain on the GPU—technically higher settings.

I thought I was looking for something specific, but I can't find 'any' even though there might be differences. That's why I asked—it's really frustrating!

If you can't distinguish it, it doesn't matter. My idea of the most likely spot would be around fences, checking cables from tall buildings while driving or walking slowly—anything with subtle details that shift slightly over time, such as ship rigging. That's where txaa is expected to stand out, so if you're paying attention, it will happen there.

It's something that doesn't really stand out to me, making it hard to confirm I might not be able to spot it.

TXAA introduces blur effects, blending MSAA and FXAA. I wouldn't choose it for better bets, preferring just MSAA instead.
