Adjust display resolution both before and after playing games using the NVIDIA Control Panel.
I play CSGO on an older monitor (1366x768) at a 4:3 stretched resolution of 1024x768. At this resolution, I can achieve 75Hz, although it’s usually limited to 60Hz. It’s inconvenient to manually adjust this setting before and after gaming, so I'm looking for a way to automate the process.
Do not alter the display resolution within the game itself. Select 1024 x 768 exclusively when playing, and Windows will then adjust the resolution to match this setting upon game startup. Upon exiting the game, your display should return to its default resolution.
