Hello, I'm just starting with Windows 8 and still figuring out how to manage audio settings. My speakers are connected through the rear audio port, but I want all audio to switch to my headphones when I connect them via the front panel. Currently, apps like iTunes play from the speakers regardless of the setup, though system sounds use headphones. Can someone assist with adjusting these preferences? Thanks, Aereldor. Update note: The issue has been resolved in iTunes. For similar users—ensure the device you prefer is set as 'Default audio' (right-click volume → playback devices → select it → make default). In iTunes, navigate to Preferences → Playback → Play Audio Using → choose 'Direct Sound'. Restart iTunes if needed for changes to take effect.
