I encountered this problem on three distinct machines. It began in mid-March 2025 on my first PC, which I had owned for three years. On that unit, the thermal paste had worn off and the installer left the sticker on the cooling plate. Despite running hot, applying new paste and checking temperatures didn’t resolve the issue. Later, I upgraded to a better cooler but it didn’t help. I’ve tested all standard procedures—updating drivers, chipsets, BIOS, reinstalling Windows 11, switching to Windows 10. I’ve also explored every setting in games, on Windows, and via Nvidia Control Panel or the app. AMD configurations were examined when using an AMD CPU. All PCs are affected, with every game running flawlessly except for certain visual anomalies. Stress and benchmark tests consistently passed. I’ve tried various driver versions spanning two years, even creating a separate Microsoft account for the newer systems. Usually, I rely on DLSS in games, which made everything look perfect before the problems started. Now, graphics drop significantly, textures shimmer, and movement appears inconsistent—especially with shadows and textures. Movement feels jittery, and I notice pop-in at similar distances regardless of settings. Visual shake occurs in gun sights during aiming across all titles. Memory and VRAM usage remain normal, never capped. My suspicion leans toward Windows-related interference or compatibility quirks. I’ve tested different GPU models over the years, but nothing changed the outcome. The only noticeable changes are adjustments to AA settings, DLSS, and texture quality. All issues seem uniform across games, though presentation varies. I’m experiencing white light blur around gun sights in many titles, which appears on darker surfaces even when aiming at walls or far away. It feels like something fundamental is broken, regardless of driver tweaks or hardware changes. I suspect the problem lies in how software interacts with the system. I’ve explored the theory of dirty electricity, but it seems unlikely in most cases. My previous machines had top-tier specs—AMD Ryzen 7 7700, RTX 4070—and ran Windows 11 smoothly for three years. After switching to a new PC with AMD Ryzen 7 7800x3D and NVIDIA RTX 5060 Ti, the issues started right away. I’ve also used different RAM configurations (32GB 6400MHz vs 64GB 6000MHz) and OS versions. Despite changing BIOS settings, XMP profiles, and memory timings, the problems persist. I’ve even recorded a video in 1400p on OBS to document the issue, though it still shows shadowing and pop-in. The resolution remains unclear. I’m now considering switching to Linux Ubuntu, hoping it will resolve this. Until then, I’m at a loss, with two functional PCs and two monitors, and no progress. My PSUs are solid, but I’m worried about the cost and effort involved. This seems more like a software/driver/OS problem than hardware failure. I’m open to sharing screenshots or detailed specs if you’d like to help diagnose further. Manufacturers won’t assist much here. I’ve even thought about bringing a technician over, but it wouldn’t solve anything. This is frustrating—two decent machines with great parts, yet nothing works as expected. I’m hoping this thread will help me find a clearer path forward."
