I replaced the windows on my PC after I did that, but it couldn't connect to the internet anymore. I've tried everything from restarting the machine to using CMD commands. I've literally tried all of them. However, when I connected a cable directly from the modem to the PC, it worked perfectly. So what's the issue? This photo shows how I set it up.

You've completed this action recently, and your IP has been linked to the MAC address on your computer—not the router. For a short time, disconnecting from the internet will allow the router to assign the correct IP.

It's likely your device is tied to your MAC address, but restarting the modem shouldn't resolve it unless it's part of a modem/router setup where this isn't an issue. Could you share the specific router or modem model?

It seems there may be a problem with one of the Netgear devices. How are they set up? Which configurations were applied? Have other machines connected similarly experienced the same problems, or not? Did you reinstall the network drivers on the computer?
