Additional Ram blending
Additional Ram blending
Upgrading your gaming PC is on the right track. The two RAM sticks you linked are compatible with your setup, and pairing them with Corsair 16GB should work well. Your Ryzen 5 5600G is a solid processor, so you’re in good shape overall. Just double-check the specifications to ensure everything matches before installing.
It varies based on your definition of "fine." The system should likely function well with the weaker RAM configuration—such as the 3000 CL15—though you might need to adjust speed and timings manually. No one can promise a guaranteed outcome. It could start up, support XMP, and run smoothly at 3200 speeds without problems, lasting a long time if settings remain consistent. Alternatively, it may fail to boot entirely regardless of settings due to compatibility issues. Mixing RAM is generally acceptable, but it isn't a precise process.
Thank you, I'll attempt it. In the worst case, I'll keep the new kit installed.
Capture a screenshot of the Thaiphoon burner to confirm the issue. If it looks problematic, consider purchasing used 2666C19 BIN crucial or micron bare PCBs with D9VPP or C9BJZ revision (the latter is preferred). The components match, so there should be no compatibility problems.
I added the additional modules, placing the G.skill ones in the main 2-3 port and the older ones in 1-4. In CPU-Z they display 1-2 and 3-4, XMP is enabled, and MOBO is B450M PRO-VDH PLUS. It looks like everything is functioning properly now.
