Piper works only with devices recognized by libratbag, which is available at the specified GitHub link. According to this information, libratbag doesn't support Lenovo mice, and there don’t appear to be other dedicated projects for them. You might set it up using xinput, but the current wiki has some disagreements about this. I haven’t personally adjusted any mice via xorg, so I can only share what’s listed on the Arch Wiki.
