TL;DR: Will Windows Home Server 2011 wipe my HDDs if I connect any drives that already hold data? I’m new, checked online, but got no clear answers. I moved to another country, packed all my data into seven WD My Books, and now need more storage. Plugging each drive separately is tedious, and loading them onto the main rig is a hassle because the BIOS can’t detect them properly. I’m considering building a home server for sharing files and want to know if using WHS 2011 would erase my existing data. I don’t want RAID or NAS solutions—just keep what I have. I’m still planning, so any advice on hardware or software would be super helpful.
