Title as it says. I upgraded to a Corsair rmx 1000 gold, Ryzen 7 5800x and a noctua fan. After installing, this is what happens. Things to note. At first it wouldn't turn on at all I switched around the ram and unplugged my front panel connector from it's splitter and plugged it in normally. Now it starts but wont boot. I thought it might have been a power issue. I checked the socket protector extension that it's plugged into, and it's rated for 15 amps (1800 watts), so that's not the issue. I tried plugging it into a separate power extender (also rated for 1800 watts), and that didn't work either. Tried switching around the ram, didn't work. Uninstalled the CPU and fan, checked for bent pins which there were none of. Cleaned the thermal paste off both the cpu and cooler with isopropyl alcohol on a microfiber detailing cloth. I reinstalled the CPU very carefully. I reapplied the thermal paste, no larger than a dry grain of rice, reinstalled the fan and it still won't work. As I was writing, I remembered something like this happening a bit ago. My PC would do the same thing. I checked around, and there was a scrap of tissue paper stuck in the bottom of my old PSU's fan. I removed it and it worked. So I turned it on, this time watching the fan. It spun for a bit, then stopped. It would stop a few seconds before everything else stopped. I think it might be a problem with the PSU in one way or another. Any advice?
