Added a Ryzen 5 1600 to my computer, but the Ethernet connection fails and displays "Unidentified network."
I just put in a new Ryzen 5 1600, updated the BIOS, and then performed a factory reset on my PC because it was becoming slow. After restarting, the Ethernet connection fails and it reports it can't detect the network. When I check it, it says "Ethernet" doesn't have a valid IP configuration. I've searched forums, YouTube videos, and tried various fixes: changing DNS settings, renewing IP in Command Prompt, reinstalling drivers, disabling fast boot, resetting the adapter, and reconnecting to the router. All these steps were done from admin mode. None worked. Are there other possibilities? Could this be related to the new CPU? Thanks for any advice.
