I recently upgraded my hardware with an Intel I225-V network controller motherboard, but it isn't recognized by Ubuntu 20.04. I'm unable to locate a compatible driver for Intel on Ubuntu. I downloaded the 25.1.1.zip from Intel's site, followed their installation instructions, but encountered issues. The setup process reported two errors: the signing key wasn't found and there was a missing 'System.map' file. Depmod is also not working properly. Anyone have suggestions or solutions?

The Intel I225 driver comes from igc and was likely added in kernel version 5.0. Check your system details with uname -r to confirm the kernel you're running.
