ADATA XPG LEGEND 710 found a 2GB SSD, it is no longer functioning.
Hey there, I’m facing a problem with my ADATA XPG LEGEND 710 1TB SSD. I was playing a game on my Lenovo Legion 5 15ACH6H (AMD) while also downloading and installing another game on Steam using the same SSD. Suddenly, the game froze, and when I tried to access the drive, it didn’t respond. After turning off my laptop, the SSD vanished from Windows but still shows up in BIOS. I’ve tried several fixes so far: removing and reinserting it, checking it in Disk Management, using Diskpart, running Windows Installer, and using ADATA SSD Toolbox. It still doesn’t recognize the drive as an ADATA SSD, instead showing MN-5236. I’ve also changed BIOS settings like disabling AMD V and Secure Boot, but nothing seems to work.
I’m curious—why did the SSD work a few months ago but not now? Is there any chance to restore it to its original size? Have others had similar issues with an ADATA SSD? Any suggestions would be really helpful! Thanks a lot!
It’s been a similar situation today with my 4TB XPG GAMMIX S70 BLADE. It ran lightly for about 10TBW and still had plenty of life left. I also noticed my computer would stutter occasionally, and I stumbled upon a post mentioning problems with this SSD model on a specific firmware. I ran the ADATA SSD Toolbox and got a failed diagnostic scan after just three minutes. After checking the drive info, the tool stopped working and the disk disappeared, leaving only a tiny 1GB space. Many users on wewb said this isn’t unusual, but now I’m concerned about my main drive, which is a 2TB SSD. Should I consider replacing it with something like the Kingston FURY Renegade NVMe 4TB, WD BLACK SN850X NVMe 4TB, or Seagate FireCuda 530R 4TB? I’m not sure what to choose. After this, I won’t rely on Adata for anything beyond temporary caching.
Suprisingly ADATA revived itself after about 3 days and several restarts, Copying data now to Samsung EVO, its working but realy slow 200-300MB/s On other hand Evo spending most of time waiting for data which indicate that issue is on reading, not writing data. Will do some test on Adata disk once data are safely copied on new disk.
