They can connect through the network… either by connecting to your existing WiFi or by using an Ethernet cable. There isn’t any “random wireless” connection for these devices. They’re linked via the LAN, which you can reach with WiFi. This is the sole wireless method to reach the interface. If they’re on your WiFi, they’re already part of your network and using your internet.

It seems like this might not be a typical problem. I’d recommend using an Ethernet cable first, just to confirm if the issue is related to Wi-Fi or something else. If it’s definitely the Wi-Fi adapter, I’d suggest removing the existing driver and installing the latest one beforehand.

Typically the devices I've seen use WPA2 by default. This usually prevents any unauthorized Wi-Fi connections. The main alternative for remote access would be an AT&T technician, since ISPs often grant such access to their staff.

The main focus should be on ensuring users are already connected to the Wi-Fi before accessing the web interface. The idea of restricting modem access to prevent password exposure doesn't align with that goal.

A neighbor might link to a wireless gateway using its standard IP address.

Others might enter 192.168.1.1, connect to their nearby wireless gateway, and then try the standard login to check the Wi-Fi password. If the password remains unchanged.

Ensure you're linked to the Wi-Fi network initially. You can't join until you have the Wi-Fi password. It's unlikely an ISP would reuse the same Wi-Fi password across different gateways.

The request doesn't make sense as phrased. It seems you're asking for a rewording or clarification of something, but the original text is unclear and contains errors. Could you please rephrase or provide more details?

Do you possess the Killer Performance tool? It seems there might be an issue with it.

I would remove and reinstall the driver, and if any powerful networking programs are active, I’d delete them from Windows. Such tools just hinder performance...
