I began with the Ryzen 5 3600 and faced no issues activating XMP at 3600mhz. I also managed to turn on PBO and Game mode via BIOS. The only change I made was the CPU. I cleared the CMOS and, for some reason, when I activated the XMP profile my system kept restarting. The CPU debug light also appeared. This build was only a month old with all updates applied. Now it only runs at default settings. I tried setting the XMP profile to a manufacturer-recommended value and still experienced crashes with specs: Ryzen 9 3900x MSI Gaming Pro Carbom AC B450, recently updated BIOS GSkill TridentZ 2x8gb at 3600mhz, CAS 16, EVGA 750 GQ, 80+ Gold, EVGA 360mm AIO Cooler, EVGA RTX 2070 Ultra, and WD Blue nand sata m.2 2280 500gb. Reset CMOS, configure DRAM to 1.35 and SOC to 1.1, then apply 3600

I had to revise my initial message since I submitted it prematurely. I’m glad the update will be more useful.

Adjust the SOC to 1.1 and DRAM to 1.35, then test

No success. The debugging light on the Mobo CPU activates and remains in a loop.

It seems the reference might point to DOCP for AMD rather than XMP. This could reflect a design choice in the BIOS or it might indicate another setting altogether.

This approach probably won't resolve the issue. Test one stick at a time. If successful, verify memory channels or check for damaged pins.

Certainly AMD systems sometimes call this feature xmp.
