I just installed a new PC and when I turned it on, the breaker flipped right away. Is this due to a bad power supply or another issue? It’s definitely not quiet! Model: System Power 9 500W.

Are there any additional details about the circuit? The extra inrush current during startup could indicate the triggering point.

They should have some kind of heating, like a space heater, and maybe add items to other rooms too.

Consider shifting the PC to another room inside the house and attempt to start it from there, to eliminate any wiring problems.

What year did your home get constructed? If it came after 1999, the breakers have safeguards against "power fluctuations" they consider defective, causing them to trip.

There might be a small fault in the power supply or a damaged cable. It’s best to start by testing another breaker to check for overload (unlikely). Then switch to a different power cord. If neither fixes the problem, an internal short is likely—replace the PSU, which should be under warranty.
