I had to return my graphics card and thought I could handle the onboard graphics until it arrives. Unbeknownst to me, it disrupted my WiFi connection. The troubleshooter reports “WiFi doesn’t have a valid IP configuration.” I’m linked to the router (provided by ISP) but not getting internet. The router’s own troubleshooter says everything is okay. Resetting both the router and computer temporarily fixes it, but it resets again if the computer sleeps. Using my phone as a hotspot works perfectly. So what’s going on? Any advice? Windows 10 MSI Z690-A WiFi intel 12700k removed – MSI Ventus 3080 12GB LHR thanks

Have you attempted to reinstall drivers, Wi-Fi and graphics? Consider updating Windows and visiting that support page: https://www.intel.fr/content/www/fr/fr/s...stant.html Updated January 18, 2024 by leclod

There’s nothing there. I thought about using my old laptop as a connection point, but it behaves the same. It links to the other laptop, yet no internet access. The other one has internet, so probably a setup issue. I’m sure Jack knows how to fix network settings since the hardware changed. Maybe a security update is needed?

Interesting observations about the integrated graphics setup. It functions with two monitors—HDMI and displayport—though using just the displayport works fine. The HDMI connection fails entirely. Using the cellphone's hotspot with both monitors helps, but not with the modem/router. Working with the modem/router only when the displayport is connected seems to be the case. It’s strange, but it seems manageable for now.
