I connect the SSD and see the splash screen, then it prompts to verify DMI pool data. It asks to insert the system disk and press enter. I’ve already tried rearranging the boot options in the menu, but even then it didn’t fix the issue.

This might relate to boot managers and partition systems. If possible, consider using legacy+UEFI when booting from the drive.
