Hello, your Raspbian and Raspotify installation is working well. When casting to the Raspberry Pi using Spotify on your phone, you're only hearing from the Pi itself and not through the DAC. The Pi's audio output sounds poor, which is why you're interested in using your dedicated DAC. There are some online suggestions, but they seem limited—like disabling the built-in audio chip or adjusting permissions. The Raspotify config file you shared doesn't seem to affect playback, so you might need to check the settings directly. If you want to use your DAC, consider updating your OS or exploring alternative streaming setups. For more advanced options, you could look into installing a custom audio driver or using a different streaming method.

Hey there! I actually found a simpler solution recently. It involves adjusting a line in the ALSA notepad file. I just bought a Yamaha RN 402 amp with Spotify/Google/Alexa built-in and Klipsch RP 600m speakers for 600€. The offer was great, so I went for it. Meanwhile, my Raspberry Pi will need some cleaning soon.

It’s really nice of you. You get value for your money. It was a quick decision because my $10 cardboard speaker setup was performing well. Actually, the midrange sounded better than the Klipsch RP 600 (which cost $500). But the Klipsch have advantages in other areas... Anyway, I’m excited about it and can’t stop talking about it. Thanks a lot for your assistance. I’d like to change the bitrate on the Pi from 160 to 320, and you demonstrated how.
