I'm preparing for an i9-14900K soon and have a few queries: 1) Will a 280mm AIO suffice for cooling given my 4000X case, or should I opt for a 360mm model with adequate case space? 2) My current 850W Gold PSU can power the RTX4070 Super? 3) Recommendations for motherboards—balance between quality and budget, focusing on gaming, editing, and ML workloads. No need to overcomplicate things. Thanks!

If available, go with the Z790 Aorus Elite X AX—it offers solid cooling and good value. For a more budget-friendly option, the AMD 7950X provides comparable multi-core performance at a lower cost, requires less cooling (280mm works), and avoids potential scheduling complications.

My situation doesn't match the 360mm size, but I'm curious—do 280 and 360 offer similar results that make staying with the existing AIO worthwhile?

The 280 offers better performance compared to the 360mm and 240mm options, though the 14900K consumes a lot of heat. Even with standard 360mm AIOs it tends to slow down under load. If you're not keen on investing in extra cooling, consider a 14700K from AMD—it provides similar performance at a lower power draw.
