I’ve experienced consistent low frame rates and subpar performance consistently in For Honor. I've included a benchmark video for your review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xLnm1l-d...e=youtu.be. Please excuse the audio quality. It’s important to note that this problem isn't due to my graphics card, as I’ve encountered the same difficulties with a GTX 1060, and it's not linked to my hard drive/SSD or RAM capacity. This specific problem only manifests within For Honor, while other games operate smoothly. I suspect the root cause lies with my processor; previously, I adjusted CPU settings in my BIOS, though I subsequently reverted them to their original state, and the performance problems persisted. My system specifications are: Ryzen 5 2600x, Gigabyte X470 5, RTX 2070, and 16 GB of RAM.

This appears to be a problem with the software. It could potentially be related to a driver. Try downloading the latest drivers and modifying the game’s .ini files to establish a frame rate limit of 144Hz. Your current framerate is 130, which isn’t significantly low.

This appears to be a problem with your processor. Could you tell me what temperature your CPU reaches when it’s working hard? It might be slowing down because of excessive heat.

It appears your central processing unit might be the issue. Could you please share your CPU temperatures while under heavy load? It’s possible that it's slowing down because of excessive heat, though other games perform well. However, “For Honor” specifically seems to be causing a problem with your CPU’s performance.

regarding fps 132: there wasn’t much change, I was unavailable for two weeks and upon my return, the problem persisted, although now the game limits to 130 fps.

This appears to be a technical problem with the program. It could potentially be related to a graphic driver. Attempting to install the most recent drivers might resolve it. Further, modifying the game's configuration files—specifically the .ini files—to limit frame rates to 144Hz could be beneficial. Currently, you are experiencing a rate of 130 frames per second, which isn't significantly underperforming.

The problem seems like a technical glitch within the program. It could be related to a graphics card driver. Please install the newest drivers for your system and modify the game’s configuration files to limit frame rates at 144Hz. Currently, you're achieving approximately 130 frames per second, which isn’t a significantly low performance level.

I attempted to adjust the game settings through its configuration files, but this had no effect. I've updated my motherboard drivers and BIOS as well, yet the performance hasn’t improved. Following the advice from this link—https://www.pcworld.com/article/3180511/components-processors/7-amd-ryzen-tips-and-tricks-to-maximize-your-pcs-performance.—I altered several settings in the BIOS, but this resulted in even worse frame rates, averaging 120-122 frames with occasional dips to 100. I'm quite disappointed.

The problem seems to be related to a software glitch, possibly involving a driver. I recommend installing the latest drivers and adjusting the game’s .ini files to limit frame rates to 144Hz. Your current framerate of 130fps isn't significantly low.

Thank you for your assistance, but the sluggish performance and fixed frame rate were actually caused by your Xbox One controller. When the game froze, the controller began vibrating, so I disabled it and attempted to play using a mouse and keyboard – immediately, my frames soared above 170!
