I owned a system with an Athlon 64 Fx-57 processor, which performed well at the time. Back then, AMD was known for its N1 CPU lineup.

I recall enjoying this intense game on my 128MB Intel integrated card at 1024x768 resolution—it truly impressed me.

Over a decade has passed... Nvidia and Ati (AMD) continue to innovate. I recall the performance struggles of Nvidia's fx-5xxx line with Direct X 9 and shader efficiency. Ati dominated with the 9700pro and later the 9800pro. The next generation saw Nvidia resolve their problems, making the 6xxx series consistently strong. Back then, I couldn't buy a 6800gt as a teenager, but I managed to get a 6600gt that worked well for years.
