I checked the benchmark results on my machine: 7800X3D with XFX 6900XT, 32GB DDR5, 6000Mhz CL36 NVMe SSD. The scores aren’t where I expected, particularly the CPU rating is lower than average. Could there be an issue with the hardware or settings? Here’s the link to the test: https://www.3dmark.com/3dm/99130423. Same GPU details are available here: https://www.3dmark.com/search#advanced?test=spy. I’ve also reviewed the CPU data: https://www.3dmark.com/search#advanced?test=spy P&cpuId=. What might be affecting performance?

I've heard that pushing memory speed too high on an X3D CPU can cause the Infinity Fabric cache to shift from a 1:1 ratio to 1:2, which actually reduces performance by half. You can verify this by lowering your memory speed to 4800 or 5200 and observing if your results improve or decline. Also, make sure your cooling setup is sufficient for your system—don’t skip that check! High-end systems require more attention than standard setups. Good luck!

The mclk and fclk aren't aligned properly in Zen4 according to my understanding. At 6000MHz CL36 seems to be the top choice, particularly for Zen4 3D. Lowering timings isn't always better; tighter but stable clocks like 36-36-36-76 at 6000MHz are preferred for performance, especially with a 3D v-cache.

CPU performance is weak, likely near 14K, possibly due to thermal issues or poor settings. Check if the chip was undervolted. GPU is functioning properly.

The typical clock speed reported for the RX 6900 XT in your first link seems low. Other configurations show more consistent clock frequency and average values, not a significant drop of 750MHz. I’d double-check if there are any TDP restrictions for your card. Running HWinfo64 or similar tools can reveal the power consumption and clock behavior during operation, helping identify any voltage, wattage, or thermal constraints. Based on my experience, it’s possible a latency cap is limiting the GPU speed, which often impacts 3Dmark results. I once achieved top 50 rankings with an overclocked GTX 780ti SLI.

Cooling works well with my Lian Li 240mm aio, temps stay low and within limits. Everything on the board is stock, no overclocking or tuning done. After a 7-minute stress test, the results are in. CPU, GPU, memory details ready.

The system spends a lot of time recording data while I take screenshots and post updates, which affects the average performance. During the stress test, the GPU clock matched its peak speed. I’ll attempt it again to capture images without delays.

Is this setup a brand new installation or did you upgrade your GPU? Did you download the AMD driver from amd.com or use the ones provided by the motherboard manufacturer? (The amd.com versions are superior.) I recommend installing GPU-Z to check the PCIe bandwidth and confirm it reaches up to PCIe 4.0 at 16x.

The DRAM speed varies a lot. Is this typical for DDR5? Everything else looks okay. The GPU power cap is 255W—perhaps you should verify with AMD tools to see if it was adjusted recently.
