Hi, I have an Acer Aspire E15 e15 with an E15 chipset and 4GB RAM. The HDD is still fine, but it slows down when I browse the web and freeze often while playing old games. The CPU is a Celeron N2830, and I’m considering upgrading to an SSD and more RAM. I plan to sell the current one to a friend who can’t afford a new one and buy a used one for around 2500$. Let me know if this would help. Thank you!

You might enhance the memory to 8GB, keeping in mind that your processor can handle it, but it’s not recommended because pushing the RAM near its limit often causes the chipset to overheat on that system. You can switch to an SSD by taking the HDD out of its original place and using a secondary drive tray to store it, then inserting a budget SSD into the HDD slot. Have you taken apart the laptop yet? What BIOS version was installed when you wrote this?

Once I changed the model, it was straightforward. Just a Philips screwdriver and a plastic guitar pick were enough, and everything came together without issues. I wasn’t sure about the bios version though :/ but it’s the latest.
