Hi everyone, I'm having a tough time here. Today in my office, I was experimenting with CMD and the registry for local users on Windows 11. The problem started when I tried to log in and only the admin account showed up at the lock screen. I had to switch to admin mode for troubleshooting, but somehow I disabled or locked it down. Now I can't log in because that was the only working account. Anyone have any advice?

Use the recovery option and restore the admin account through the command prompt there.

Talk to your IT team. It seems you may have entered the incorrect password several times, causing the account to be locked. They’ll need to reset it for you.

Accessing safe mode isn't possible because the recovery menu lacks the necessary startup settings.

Do you possess a functional computer and an extra 4GB USB storage device?

Does the device connect to a domain? The domain administrator should probably have a method to grant access.

This situation offers a chance to address an error with your manager. Unless they're exceptionally unreliable, you might face consequences like having to reinstall Windows, which isn't advisable. There are some questionable software tools available for unlocking Windows accounts and resetting passwords, though these often carry malware risks. I wouldn't risk it on a company system.

Sure, I understand. You want to proceed with system recovery from the Windows installation area and use the command prompt to activate safe mode.
