Today my friend noticed his name had been updated and all his contacts were blocked. When he looked at his emails, he saw someone had asked him to change his name. It seems he used two-factor authentication and had his phone with him when he got the message. The issue is now fixed, and he regained access to his account. It’s strange how easily people can bypass such security measures.

Using the same password for both Uplay and email makes two-step verification simple.

I searched for my old email address online. The top result showed a site listing many emails with passwords. My password appeared there, so I created a new email and changed all my passwords. I was really worried because that password also protected my bank app. I’m not sure how they obtained it. Stay careful, everyone.

You’d like the site to check if your email address appears, though you think it violates their terms of service.

It's funny how this turned out for me too! Someone ended up blocking my account for years, and since I only owned Rainbow 6 Siege—which came free with a 1080ti—I didn’t have much choice but to reach out to Ubisoft. A friend suggested playing it, so I decided to get it back. To my surprise, someone from Russia was involved! The customer support was really great; online chat helped me resolve the issue in just 20 minutes. I had to show them proof that the account belonged to me.
