My brother spilled tea on his laptop, and I'm using a hair dryer at low heat for drying. The liquid came from a cup containing coffee or milk with sugar. After the dry time, I'm concerned about any tea residue left behind. Even though the moisture is gone, could there still be dry remnants? If so, should I treat it with isopropyl alcohol?

Stop the battery right away whenever this occurs. Take it out now if you haven’t already. Wash the laptop completely, and don’t attempt to power it on until you’re sure it’s fully dry inside and out.
