Accidentally maximized the oc and my PC isn't responding
I mistakenly set both the core clock and memory clock to maximum in MSI Afterburner, causing the PC to freeze and become unresponsive. The issue only resolves when restarting the device.
Remove the plug, press and keep holding the power button until all lights stop, then take out the CMOS battery, let it sit for ten minutes, and reinsert it. After restarting, the CMOS will be cleared, and the settings will reset.
I assume Msi Afterburner was configured for Windows startup with custom settings, and then completely removed from Safe Mode.
Start the PC and encounter an error, then press and hold the power button to shut it down, restart, and repeat the process three times before reaching the Repair screen...
This method seems to apply to GPU overclocks as well, according to the user's experience with Msi Afterburner OC.
