Accident occurred when juice fell onto the laptop.
Yesterday things went wrong while I was using my laptop. After a short delay, I accidentally pushed a juice-filled cup over it. The liquid began to spill onto the device, and I tried to clean it without shutting it down. Everything seemed normal until three hours passed. Then I noticed unusual sounds coming from the laptop—possibly related to the hard drive. I listened closely, but it wasn’t coming from the TV or any other source. After checking my phone, everything looked okay. I reconnected the laptop cable and tried again, but nothing changed. Eventually, after moving around on the desktop and using the mouse, it stopped working entirely and displayed a blue screen of death. It waited several minutes before restarting, showing a black screen with a white line in the top left corner. After about ten minutes, the boot menu appeared, and I realized the only way to start was via the DVD writer. I suspect the issue is related to the hard drive since juice had reached it. It took a long time for everything to fail, but I’m convinced it wasn’t the motherboard—otherwise more problems would appear. The boot menu indicated a single possible cause: the hard drive couldn’t be detected. Is there any chance we can fix this?
