Accessing my SSD - Gigabyte A520M DS3H AC
Hello everyone. My SSD installation story is tricky. Once it was set up on my old laptop, I had to remember a password in BIOS every time I turned it on. Now I’m using a Gigabyte motherboard and can’t locate a method to delete the password. The worst part is, it doesn’t prompt me for the SSD password at all. I also noticed the BIOS doesn’t display any security settings. When I try to access it from Windows, it shows a normal message about the password lock, but I can’t remove it or unlock it through BIOS.
We won't assist you in breaking the password on this site. It violates the forum's guidelines.
What? Where did I ask you to figure out my SSD password? I remember the password—I can’t type it in because my computer doesn’t prompt for it! If I wasn’t clear enough, I don’t need anyone to guess it. I just need assistance with adjusting my motherboard BIOS so I can set or change the password.
It was encrypted using a standard algorithm during storage. You can format the file with GParted after booting into Linux.
