You're curious about using OneDrive with your school computer. Since you have a Windows 8.1 machine and a school account, you can set up OneDrive to sync with your school account without making it a full user. Just connect the school account to OneDrive, and it should work seamlessly on your personal device.

You must request approval from the school to connect their account with your OneDrive... That’s unlikely to occur. Apologies, but this seems like something you might want to overlook. Schools typically won’t permit it, hehe.

No, office programs don’t automatically save files to OneDrive when you select that option. You need to manually set it up or use a specific feature in Word or Excel.

You can view your OneDrive using the web browser at school. It’s less handy than connected computers, but I believe schools wouldn’t support this.

It's a personal Microsoft account, so I can use it freely. The process involves going through the school system and setting up a user account linked to that account. I'm trying to add OneDrive as a drive on my computer without linking my personal PC to the school account.

I didn't realize there were files I needed to view both at school and home. Setting up OneDrive could make accessing them easier across devices. Thanks for the tip—I can now open files on my own computer using Word or Excel. If you know how to list OneDrive under "My Computer," it would really help with organizing everything. Sorry if I was a bit confused at first.

Yes, there is an app for PCs called OneDrive. It lets you access your files from the cloud.
