Hello everyone, I hope your weekend was relaxing. I’m facing an issue connecting to the Proxmox GUI via a web browser. It seems like a networking challenge, but I’m stuck without clear solutions or forum advice. Here’s my network layout: three VLANs – X.X.10.X, X.X.20.X, and X.X.30.X. All servers reside in the X.X.10.X VLAN, and my PC is also on that same VLAN (X.X.10.19). The Proxmox server sits at X.X.10.9 with PVID 10 and untagged traffic set to VLAN 10 for its port. The cabling is as follows: Server 1 (Unraid) connects to port 3 on a managed TPlink switch; Server 2 (Proxmox) uses port 2; My PC is linked via an unmanaged switch in my room to the managed TPlink switch on port 6. Ports 2 and 6 are untagged VLAN 10 with PVID 10. The managed switch connects to a router running PFSense, which is hosted on a dedicated NIC in Proxmox. I’m using a VM with a single 4-port NIC in Proxmox, though I’m considering alternatives.

Troubleshooting steps I’ve tried: I can ping the Proxmox machine from my PC when I had access to a router (using just the switch and a consumer router). The Proxmox seemed normal until I disconnected the router – then I could reach it via the switch. After updating PFSense and rebooting the VM, I lost access to the web UI. Currently, I can’t ping the 8006 port or see port 22 open, even though I haven’t changed any settings. It’s a brand new installation from yesterday.

Questions: Is this related to DNS or DHCP problems? Are there any steps I missed or misconfigurations that could help?

Someone notices this later: Essentially I'm a fool and used a /32 network, but it should be a /24.
