It wasn't great at all. The black flag felt like a messy project, and even updates didn't fix the issues. It came across as a typical Ubisoft experience. Why would anyone expect anything better?

this franchise has been one of my favorite titles ever. I never faced issues with it before this; every previous installment performed exceptionally well (though I still dislike 3, that was just the storyline). Far 3 remains an outstanding game—no one complained about it! Since the watchdogs came along, things changed a bit, but Ubisoft continues to pay developers to craft games under their brand and meet deadlines. The titles are usually solid, though they’re often incomplete. It’s clear Ubisoft takes responsibility for quality, but the creators still put in their best effort within the time constraints they receive. If we all stop supporting Ubisoft, some amazing games could disappear.
