I just wanted to express my strong belief that Ubisoft is deliberately undermining their PC titles. Those who have played Rogue on PC will understand the issue. The game matches the visual quality of Black Flag, which already proves challenging even on robust systems. Analyzing CPU and GPU usage, my 4790k stays near maximum during Black Flag, often dropping below 60fps. While keeping the GPU at around 80% with overclocked settings, it frequently drops to 40% or less in larger cities. In contrast, Rogue runs smoothly with minimal CPU load—just about 30% on the first core, others idle or under 10%, and the GPU usage stays between 30-50%. That’s a massive difference for the same graphics. It seems unlikely Black Flag was intentionally sabotaged to make console versions appear superior. The biggest frustration is realizing this doesn’t benefit Ubisoft at all. I’m really upset with them.

They aim for a smooth, high-frame-rate experience that matches the cinematic feel, but since the PC version struggles, they had to edit it down. Don’t worry—they’re experienced and clearly understand what they’re doing, as seen in their latest release.

In ac:bf there are certain configurations that significantly impact performance but don’t affect visual quality. Removing them boosts frame rates even at high resolutions like 4K. Rogue seems to have optimized those aspects. The overall look remains acceptable, making the change imperceptible.

You'd be discussing specific audio settings in Black Flag, comparing SMA and ROGUE FXAA for similar effects. The main differences are minor, and other factors like physX might influence the outcome.

DOF is among them; I don't recall any others at the moment and can't verify it right now. Possibly I'll update later.

DOF offers minimal visual effect... Yet any differences might be due to the settings being used. Once rogue is in place and performs exceptionally, it becomes obvious there was no justification for the issues with Black Flag. Even after months, Freedom Cry highlighted that the show was entirely disappointing.

Maybe it wasn't done then; I can't recall clearly at the moment.

Even without visible design elements, the CPU usage drops more than half. They really messed with the black flag. Lol

It's unusual you're experiencing the same CPU specs as me and still getting stable 60fps at 1080p, especially in demanding scenarios. Did you include Blac Flag in D3Doverrider? You mentioned inconsistent FPS spikes and input lag when using a controller, but smoother performance was observed with D3Doverrider enabled. Try it—it might resolve the issues you're facing.

It's a command-line tool used for managing D3D resources, often related to graphics drivers or rendering contexts.
