About CPU and graphics
Integrated graphics offer limited performance compared to a dedicated GPU. Using integration works well for basic games, but anything requiring significant graphics will result in very low frame rates even at the simplest settings. A proper graphics card is needed to manage the workload.
The IGPU gets some room on the CPU die and isn't too large, which can be beneficial for office builds. It also utilizes system memory as a frame buffer. DGPUs have their own chips, and frame buffers generally perform better if you're using a decent DGPU. Edited August 10, 2020 by TofuHaroto clarified it more clearly.
Absolutely, it's definitely there in reality. It's pretty strange, you know? Everyone seems to notice the same thing—those lower-end chips often hide disabled or underpowered cores, yet they're still present.
