Hi everyone, i think i might have sent the message to the wrong location, but since it's about overclocking and fans, you all must know a bit about them.
my issue is that i plan to purchase two fans—maybe three total. one for the front intake, and if i manage to buy another, i’ll use it as an exhaust fan.
my questions are: what exactly am i considering? i’m thinking of a jetflo 120, which offers good cfm, but my hdd drive is placed right behind it, after the front fan. this is confusing because i read somewhere that for hdd cases, you need a high-pressure fan rather than just focusing on cfm.
i also have a case drawing attached—sorry about the paint job, it’s okay.
my idea is to buy two fans for the front, one for exhaust, and put one of them at the top so there are five fans in total: one exhaust, two front, and two on top.
about a month ago i noticed my case is getting much hotter while gaming, which made me worried about my fans and prompted me to consider a change.
i mentioned that having a fan directly in front of the hdd case—especially if it’s low CFM and likely not providing enough pressure—is probably causing problems.
what fans should i actually look for? something like a jetflo for the front, or maybe an ml120 because of the pressure requirements?
stats:
- Jetflo 120: 95 CFM, 2.72 mmH₂O airflow
- Corsar ml120: 12–75 CFM, 0.2–4.2 mmH₂O air pressure

for a case fan that doesn't pass through a radiator, a flow rate of 95cfm would be preferable.

this thread provides useful information about the topic.... the goal is to use a fan with increased pressure for heatsinks or radiators, and high-flow fans for your case.

here is a helpful thread to understand the topic.... the goal is to use a fan with higher pressure for heatsinks or radiators and high flowrate fans for the case, so what suggestions do you have? should it be fine to run 4.2pressure at 75cfm for the case fan, or is it better to aim for 95cfm at 2.7?
