Checked online but still unsure. My i7 9700 uses about 7 watts idle, with around 6 watts going to the uncore—CoreTemp and HWInfo64 both show this. What’s uncore? It seems to be the extra power used by peripherals, GPU, and storage. The popup in HWInfo says it includes everything else except the IA cores, GPU, and storage. My other laptop with i7 10750H uses much less uncore power, usually under a watt. Edited September 18, 2022 by DreamCat04
