Which B550 motherboard did you purchase? All AMD-based chipsets work with the integrated graphics, regardless of the specific chipset, but not every board includes the necessary display connections.

Some boards don’t have the updates yet. You may need to refresh them.

Check your system via USB or another machine to perform the BIOS update. Ensure you have a working USB connection and follow the manufacturer's instructions for remote updates.

I wasn't saying every chipset works with every APU, just that no AMD chipset is completely out of the picture.

These chip sets perform poorly because overclocking the GPU isn't possible, even with budget models like the S2H. The B550 can actually be boosted while older A520 chips struggle.

No, the 5000 series is not the third generation; it refers to a specific model line within the series.

The 5000 model is a 4th generation Ryzen processor. AMD made the 3rd generation mobile chips with around 4000 part numbers for some unclear reason.

Since this board supports BIOS flashback, you can refresh the BIOS using a USB drive if it isn’t present by default. It’s nice to notice that an A520 model already has the latest updates available—many 5000G parts had their BIOS released to OEMs in March, meaning today’s boards probably include those improvements. Still, having a backup option is helpful.
