A1 and A2 positions aren't functioning properly.
Specs: Intel Core i9 10850k 10th gen, Zotac Gaming 3060 Twin Edge OC, Corsair Vengeance Pro 4x8 2800MHz, MSI Z590-A PRO. When RAM is installed in the A1 or A2 slots, the system fails to boot. My EZ debug LEDs flash between DRAM and CPU before the machine powers off after a minute. This issue occurred across three brand-new motherboards. I’ve tested all six RAM sticks and none resolved the problem. I returned my motherboard with an RMA and rebuilt the PC exactly as before, yet it still doesn’t boot. I also attempted a full reset and thoroughly checked the BIOS without success.
Consider sending a return request for your CPU if the motherboard and RAM changes didn’t resolve the issue. The A1/A2 area seems to be a problematic channel on the IMC.
Verify the specifications of your RAM modules. Are they indeed Corsair Vengeance Pro 4x8 at 2800MHz? These are DDR3 memory units. Check your motherboard's DDR4 RAM setup below. For a single stick, connect it to DIMM A2 only. If using two sticks, place them on A2 and B2. Complete the remaining slots for four RAM sticks. Let me know if your motherboard's installation steps aren't suitable.
Your motherboard BIOS needs to be version 7D09v10 or newer, or the latest 7D09v14, to ensure compatibility with your Intel Core i9 10850k 10th gen CPU.
This appears to be a BIOS update file for your motherboard. It's version 11, which should already support your CPU. However, if you haven't installed the latest version yet, download the current one (7D09v14). Since you're proceeding with an update, it's up to you. If any of these changes fail, consider returning the CPU for repair if possible.
