We enjoy music on our Teamspeak server, though we mostly stream YouTube. I have a Ubuntu laptop with VLC installed, and I’m thinking about creating a web interface that lets us input links for VLC to play. I have some Java, C++, and Visual Basic experience, but not much HTML. It’s a challenge!

Running instasynch behind the scenes? Configuring the playlist and starting playback... It seems to be YouTube-focused...

Maybe I should explore something comparable... that sounds promising!

It wasn't too tough, I recall assisting with configuring a music bot on Teamspeak back then. Google can be helpful! It's been a while, but I think it's manageable and not overly complicated.

You can employ FRAPS to capture YouTube audio clearly in 1080p or better from sources such as Vevo, and store it as a sound file, provided you’re not concerned about licensing fees.

With Windows 8, you can launch the Music app or use XBox Music for free audio playback. It boasts the second biggest music collection after iTunes. But availability may vary based on your location.
