My hardware configuration includes an Intel Core i5-9400F processor, an MSI GeForce GTX 1080 graphics card, and 16GB of Corsair Vengeance DDR4 RAM at 2666MHz. Following a performance test with Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, I achieved an average frame rate of 55 FPS on Ultra settings. However, I anticipated better performance given these specifications. My query is whether this 55 FPS average is typical for this hardware, or if a processing bottleneck exists between the CPU and GPU. Furthermore, my frame rate frequently dips to 45 FPS in densely populated urban areas. Could this be attributable to game optimization issues, or is there another underlying cause such as a bottleneck or some other factor?

This will substantially degrade gaming efficiency. You desired dual-channel operation utilizing 2x8GB. Incorporating an additional 16GB will likely prove ineffective, as RAM must be acquired in coordinated sets.

Should the system memory be 16 gigabytes or two eight-gigabyte modules? I understand that Assassin's Creed Odyssey is particularly demanding on the processor.

The average frame rate observed is 67 frames per second on a 1080p display. You can find detailed benchmark information at the provided link. Could you please specify your processor and graphics card specifications, along with their respective utilization levels while playing? Also, what are the temperatures being reported?

Explore YouTube by searching for “Single Channel VS Dual Channel” to observe the distinctions. Utilizing two 8GB sticks is superior to employing one 16GB stick, particularly when considering the performance difference between achieving approximately 55 frames per second and exceeding 65 fps with the Odyssey console.

A system achieving sixty-seven frames per second, utilizing a 1080p display and leveraging RAM with dual channel operation is indeed viable.
