A strange vanished ram was reported...
Motherboard model: ASUS P6T CPU, GPU: GTX 960, RAM: ADATA 4Gx16 U-DIMM x6 (total 24GB), Windows version: Windows 10 Workstation. I’ve connected six RAM sticks but only accessed 16GB, leaving the remaining 8GB unused. The issue is that all RAM and sockets are working correctly.
Have you considered swapping the RAM? Begin by testing one stick, check all slots for functionality, then replace each DIMM to identify which is faulty. Usually, no software changes are needed to unlock the additional 8GB.
At the start I was running Win10 Professional and had access to just 8GB out of the available 24GB.
the black slots are simply not usable, I don’t know why but they just aren’t. on my p6t deluxe v2 i put rams in those slots and they don’t even start the garbage board. trade it for a giga board or a better asus board or something. also a cardboard box case? ?? XD also a proud cardboard user, but in a different form rather than a case
